Gus J. Varazo, 75, of Pensacola, died Friday, November 5, 1999. He was a native of Greenwood, MS and a resident of Pensacola most of his life. He and his family owned and operated the Half Way House Restaurant in Warrington for many years. He was a veteran of WW II and a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. Survivors include three daughters, Marianthe Larson, Mahi (Sissy) Watson, and Cleopatra Makris; two brothers, Nick Varazo and Charlie Varazo; 6 grandchildren, Angelo, Constantine, Brandon, Angela, George and Nina; 1 great grandchild, Rylie; and a special friend, Neal and her family. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Andrew Scordalakis, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at Waters and Hibbert from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Trisigion services will be 6 p.m. at Waters and Hibbert, Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Greek Orthodox Church. | |
