John A. Liollio went to be with His Lord, with his family by his bedside, at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2011. John was born in Skopelos, Greece. He made his way to the United States at the young age of 17. Upon arriving, John immediately enlisted in the Military. He served in the United States Army from 1941 to 1945. He was owner and operator of Liollio's Restaurant in Pensacola, Florida, from 1959 to 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Andromache Magoulas and Deomi Ballas, his daughter Andromache L. Georgiades, and his cousin Demetrios Magoulas. He leaves, to cherish his memory, his wife Magdalene, his son Paul and wife Mary, his son-in-law John Georgiades, his grandson Dimitrios Georgiades and wife Jennifer, his granddaughters Christina Liollio and Magdalene Georgiades, his great-grandson John Georgiades, and many nieces and nephews. John was a vibrant and vivacious man who loved life. We pray that his memory be eternal. The family ask's, instead of flowers, please make donations to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 1720 West Garden St. Pensacola, FL 32501. The viewing will be at Waters and Hibbert's Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The Funeral services will be held at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church beginning at 10:30 am. |
