~~JOHN ED ROBERTSONJohn Ed Robertson, 81, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008. A native of Pensacola, FL, lived in Jacksonville, FL for 31 years. He was a Veteran of WWII and the Korean War, serving in the South Pacific with the 5th Air Force. He started his career delivering newspapers for the Pensacola News Journal; then had a long career in Real Estate starting in 1954 in Pensacola; then became a Federal Appraiser for the Dept. of HUD. Following retirement from HUD, he opened his own appraisal business and practiced as an appraiser for 15 years in Orange Park, FL. Mr. Robertson was a past member of Pensacola Board of Realtors, Realtors Toastmasters Club, Realtors Gopher Club, past member of the Warrington Elks Lodge #2108, and charter member of Pensacola Chapter of Christian Businessmen Committee. As a realtor, he secured and purchased the 20 acre site of the current Warrington Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet Boykin. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lee of Orange Park, FL; daughters, Zoe Asprey of Seattle, WA and Jana Londre of Boca Raton, FL; grandson, Sebastian Asprey; granddaughter, Brittany Londre; great-grandson, Sidney Asprey. Memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. |
