Theresa Post Barfield, 90, of Victoria, TX, died Thursday, August 5, 1999 in a New Orleans hospital.  Mrs. Barfield was a resident of Chateau De Notre Dame, LA for the past 19 1/2 years.  She was a former resident of Pensacola.  She was a statistical typist and had been secretary to an admiral during WW II.  She was a member of the Pensacola Garden Club and was a national flower show judge.  Survivors include three sons, David C., Jesse T. and Albert R. Barfield; three daughters, Theresa Barfield Bodett of Melbourne, FL, Sister Frances Barfield of New Orleans, LA and Genevieve Barfield Due of Sante Fe, NM; sister, Louise Post Wisner; 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Friday, August 6, 1999 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans, LA.  Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 7, 1999 at St. John's Cemetery, downtown, with Father Eugene Casserly, Celebrant.  Faith Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
